I know that the last few years have been challenging because of the changes taking place in our world, but let me mention again that 2023 will be the year with the greatest opportunity for financial advisors.
If you don't have a clear prospecting strategy in place by 3rd week of January, you will jeopardize a good head start because your activity rate in the first weeks will help you build the confidence for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month and so on...
Another truth is that we all have connections or know people we can recommend, but many of us find it difficult to know what to say when we first meet prospects or how to bring up the subject of insurance during a meal because we don't want to come off as pushy or awkward.
After 21 years of practice, I finally realized that many of the sales techniques I had been taught in the beginning were ineffective, my experiences and failures gave me the ability to "predict" which techniques will be the most effective in 2023. (Yes, I do use them myself; like you, I am a practitioner.)
While a few of them are effective, I find that there are too many things for advisors to learn in order to see results. If you have been in the industry long enough, you will know that if you cannot impress your clients in the first 15 minutes of you meeting them, you will probably lose the deal for sure.
